Should You Buy A Tv Before Or After The Superbowl

24.10.2009, HRP - Travel, Andorra la Vella, El Serrat managed to Refuge de Sorteny

arrival days are usually stressful. In this case, of course, different and thus the alarm clock rings at 4:00 in the morning - the flight starts with a known budget airlines already at 06:00 in Bremen.

love At this point, again thanks to my friend Tim, who has stood with me and has brought me to the airport :-).

The flight was spectacular, interesting is the mist of Bremen and the views of Bremen was after the plane had crossed the 50m thick blanket of fog.

Direct at the airport is a major bus terminal and one actually come without problems in all directions from the airport road. as the direction of Girona to take the train continue on (very cheap!) or to Barcelona or as in my case with the bus company to Andorra Novatel .

The trip cost me € 28 to Andorra and can be paid in advance or from the driver. Before this book in the summer months Definitely recommend, in October, only five passengers were on the bus. The trip takes about 3 hours.

The "capital" of Andorra, Andorra la Vella, made no particularly good impression on me. The valley is very narrow and it has used the area accordingly. The lack of space then laps over from the Manhattan-like prices, parking, parking included 18 € for one hour downtown area.

Andorra la Vella

first goal was the local supermarket, "Andorra 2000", a nice large and above all, cheaper supermarket. The bottle costs Lagavulin 16y: For whiskey lovers there with taxes only 31 €! Or something great:

a 5kg bucket of nutella :-).

Sorry, something difficult for baggage ;-). When shopping, the problem I got no white gas for my stove. Other outdoor shops in the town had none since, so I dodged to 95% methanol alcohol because I for testing purposes my little alcohol stove with me. From the test should be a productive test.

When searching for the right bus stop in order to Ordino and from there to come to El Serrat I wandered a bit through Andorra, along the concrete channel - sorry - of the river with his "artistic Bridges

And higher up, near the tourist information, which I then asked about the position of the right bus stop :

Unfortunately, the bus stops not partially labeled which bus there holds and where goes there. Friendly locals have me but then happy to help you and we went on to Ordino, a good 15 minute bus ride.

From the last stop you have a few yards up the road, there is the bus stop for the bus to El Serrat. The bus driver was interested in what I intend for there and told of my plan to follow the Haute route to the Atlantic. He had walked the section and times and was quite excited. He then drove me right up to the trailhead along and saved me so 15 minutes "Walking Street" on the tarmac.

From here it is only an hour to the Refuge de Sorteny where I wanted to spend my first night. As it was already 17:00 clock true, the very time
fitted well into the plan. The weather was good, it even seemed a little the sun - that is overall very good conditions.

So get out the path to this point, HRP and GRP1 run on the same path up the Collada dels Meners, past at the Refuge de Sorteny.

The path was very well run and well marked, and wound its way slowly up a river valley. It was only necessary the second yellow signposts to follow. Itself, and particularly the red-white milestones in the HRP are a constant companion in the coming days.

the way it goes past a botanical garden (?) On the mountain.

And a short time later, reached the Refuge de Sorteny. The Refuge is not hosting 30 people and offers accommodation and has a toilet. A fireplace is also available, but must first be concerned about firewood. The Refuge
was an older English couple who spent their weekends in the mountains. They spoke not a word of English (and I do not speak English) but they agreed on fire with his hands and feet.

Around the Refuge were grazing on the date mentioned in many horses and cattle.

cute critters:). Otherwise was already Day 1 The alcohol burner, a single by Tatonka did his service as expected and the sleeping bag did his duties well and was in the hut of course then something warm.

For the next day the stage Refuge Cabane de Sorteny to Coms de Jan is planned, including the crossing of the first pass, the Collada dels Meners in 2713m altitude.

days Information:
Distance: 5 km
altitude: 300m ascent
used cards: Carte de Radonees, no. 7. Haute-Ariege.
