Difference Between Carl Zeiss Sony G Lens

25.10.2009 HRP - Refuge de Sorteny to Refugi de Cabana Sorda

demolished the day short: Over the Pass "Collada de Meners" with the 2713m the highest point of the day forms at the "Cabana Coms de Jan" by the Serra de Cabana Sorda (2661m) down to the Cabana Sorda de Refugi (2250m). The night was uneventful

and was relaxing. At night it was raining slightly but otherwise remained quiet. The weather had deteriorated somewhat and it clouds hung in the mountains before me.

packed breakfast (cereal + cup of coffee and some cookies), and things going on. It was shortly after 8 (time change, so really just after 9) and I left. About the Collada de Meners hung thick clouds.

beginning of the climb was very simple, the path was indeed wet and muddy, but it went well vorran. Slowly, the path became more height and moves to another side.

look back, in the middle is the Refuge to see the Sorteny

the side is another small cabana (hut) with two beds which is not shown on my map. The location is about N42.621127 E1.579751 .

from here is to recognize the Collada de Meners, the clouds are slightly loosened. Over a steeper, but still well-marked path is leading uphill. Here and there the first snow remains in sheltered spots.

Uphill!

After half an hour of snow already much more widespread and I had to overcome the first snow-covered arcades.

snow.

However, the snow is thin and only then very wet and humid. We find reasonably good stability and can overcome any problems in the fields below.

snow!

The final piece was difficult, the path was steep and zig-zag wound its way up and the snow drifts too deep, sometimes I sank knee-deep, Given the rather wet snowfall meant wet boots.

More snow

Here and there were hands necessary to overcome the short but easy climbing sections.

A little further and it was done. I stood on the Collada de Meners. A small sketch of the rock requires the further possibilities:

For me, it went straight on, so the arrow without a label. Just reached the top, same also back down. Briefly look into the distance from the top down:

Gaze into the valley from the Collada de Meners

Now we drove a long time and still only downhill past some beautiful mountain lakes. The descent was easier, but was too much snow but you could slide controls in the snow quite well, and thereby destroy quickly and easily meters.

Estany de la Coma Meners

The snow was then quickly overcome and the path went down a steep slope of the Valle de Ransol "along.

path at the Vall de Ransol to Cabana Coms de Jan

After some time, the cabana in sight. It has two separate rooms with 6 beds. Fresh water is also available.

Cabana Coms de Jan in the center

A English family had been quartered there for the weekend and "Picnicte" just outside. I use the hut also for a short break and have filled my Camelbak. After half an hour it went on - another climb to the Serra de Cabana Sorda. The path was steep

uphill and the weather was something bad on my side of the mountain were hanging clouds and raining lightly.

path in the fog

The path was also poor. Although trail markings were visible, but the path was rather hinted, but it was vorran well, even if the level meters now tugging at the forces. Eventually, the highest point was reached. From here, the world looked quite different, on the other side of the pass the weather looked even better.

view of the Serra Cabana Sorda

The descent was a very steep slope which is covered with tufts of grass and scrub. It was slightly slippery and caution was needed for this piece. A short time later, the path was better again and pulled himself down to a small reservoir, the Cabana Sorda then also appeared in the clouds drifting clouds. My daily target was reached. The Cabana Sorda has room for 16 people. A fireplace is available but firewood must be brought up.

Cabana Sorda

First of all stored, boots taken off and hung up to dry all wet. And prepare something to eat. Then there's a mishap:

After the water filters I wanted to clean my filter, I press the ceramic filter carefully from the plastic housing. What happened? He jumps out of the holder slipped through his hands and smashed on a rock! Short laughed and then once cursed out loud!

I then took water from the river above the cabana. A little pissed I ate my dinner (pasta + couscous). Since the day I'm done I was very early in the sleeping bag and have recovered well.
