A week

Otherwise, this week I was still at the birthday celebration of a history professor who studies the history of our institution. now finally back. I start at times to tell what is happening the last week: On Friday, have the last day of the course, we are first a "desayuno a la canasta", that made a breakfast buffet. is our work where I can say after three working days, very chillig. We have daily to work from 12.30 bis 18 clock. Our main task now is just playing with the kids. The kids always seemed to clock at 12.30 and then have only once about one hour off, ate up the children who get nothing at school. Then there is dessert for everyone and then "apoyo escolar", ie tutoring or homework help. But which is not very effective because children have on either nothing or do not do their homework. Occasionally you may indeed be something to help, but also because of the language, only very limited. Otherwise during this time, much painted and crafted. Then there is again something Arts starts up the daily program. This is either playing football with Martín (I think 2x a week) or cooking with Cecilia, our cook, or painting and drawing with a teacher from the city or something like that. In any case, this takes one to two hours and we have to help either or before and after playing with the children until it is around 17:15 dinner. After the meal, the children then go back home already.
There is a total so far not too stressful, even when the kids come from really poor, or at least very problematic circumstances. But ultimately it's not that much different from the youth group, I made a long time, stop only every day.
The care of children is very good, especially since we have a lot of staff. First there is Claudia, who lives in how we project and the most organized and taking care of the children. And there is Andrea, who comes every day and looks after the children. Then there's Simon the caretaker and the cleaning woman and laundress, Luli. Moreover, as I said Cecilia, which makes every day the food. And three days a week passes by Rubén, the real head of the Hogar. If you consider that at the moment more than 14 children are born, is by Sascha and myself have a very good rate. Especially since many are not all children and for coming today, for example, only nine children. Leoni from Freiburg, who was just in Rio de Janeiro, visited over the weekend here in Buenos Aires. We have made quite a lot zsuammen tourism programs. In this way, I learned the city once again seeing in a totally different side. On Thursday evening we are at first just walking around in the city and have something to eat and watched the great Obelisk and Plaza de Mayo. Both are the main attractions of the city.

In the evening we went a little walking around the harbor, which was a little scary. On the whole, Buenos Aires, a city in which I feel really safe. Right now it's just a shame that it gets dark so early in the evening and we therefore can not do much. are then pulled around in Palermo, the senior student district here in Buenos Aires. That was very nice, especially because one has seen many families and young people on the streets. Now I'm only here this week, and on Saturday, we go for me and Sasha, my Mitfreiwilligen, in our project. I am now even better than it, because life in such a large group but is really nice too, but in the long run simply too tough. With the English I also ziemlcih good progress but it will take a while until it can really do.

Hello,
this time I am writing only a shorter review, simply because so much has happened yet since the last one.
Here you can first see a picture of almost all of the Voluntarios IERP, that the evangelical church here: Otherwise I wanted to report briefly on my first transitional authorities today. The first week

now I finally come time again to write something here. I'll just tell briefly how my first week has gone in Argentina Sun

On Saturday, directly after our arrival, we first made a tourist bus tour. Here I first get a rough idea about the city, even if it on the open top bus was very cold. But at least I've now seen the main sights. On Sunday evening, then we have already made our first asado. This is to grill the typical Argentine way. This is great! Piece of meat for about an hour on the grill and is slowly grilled. This type of grill is very sociable, because one simply standing around the fire together, talking and drinking.
have the next day we then made entrance test for the English course. I am now in class A2, with no previous knowledge. But I'm learning even the most hard-working all week, so that the English should be better soon.
the evening we will again Asado made, this time with another (ex) volunteers. In general can you meet here in our accommodation very many volunteers who spend their last days here in Argentina and introducing us so very well in local conditions.

On Thursday we visited the German embassy and then there are some Lectures belongs, including through the training at the Foreign Office. For this subject interests me so much is known:). Otherwise, I've been through a week or two workshops. In the one we have knotted straps and in the other we made empanadas. They are a kind of pastry with filling.
food is also a good cue. We ate out of the asado, the whole week actually pretty good. For example, stuffed eggplant, tomatoes and peppers, and once more, a rice dish with mushroom cream sauce. The courts have always tasted very good, but we have yet not quite used to the prices, so we mostly deutlisch more expensive than the average cook. Where this is still pretty cheap for German standards. But here you can if you live frugal cooking and eating really for less than 2 € a day. But we'll also get a grip:).
