Hello my friends, I meld
now finally back. I start at times to tell what is happening the last week: On Friday, have the last day of the course, we are first a "desayuno a la canasta", that made a breakfast buffet. It had something to bring everyone to eat. Before the meal we have then the certificates got presents for the course. The course was very useful, although I found it do not build up so well. But I recently learned a lot and go with a sound basis to the project. I can now at least have formed and use the key times and have even a basic vocabulary. However, I am nothing here Baradero definitely take even more English classes, if only because our children do not always speak grammatically correct. I hope in this way still "real" to learn English and not only the local dialect. That one is quite nice too, but quite different from the "High-English".
Well in any case we ate on our last evening together again asado (grilled meat that is). That was also very nice since we had decorated the tables and finally have all eaten together. The next day, then all are broken up by degrees to their projects. mentioned in this context actually just that it feels like 30 degrees on both days had. But it just dead of winter here is not that bad . Sascha and I are broken Sun 16:20 from our accommodation and were at 19.50 at the bus station in Baradero. We set off at 17.40 but only to BA, that we are not really far to the city. The problem was that we were not picked up. Ultimately, we are simply the Taxi to the Hogar German Frers, use our body down. There was then, after some asking around and Martín, a sports teacher, and took us in reception.
We live right now in our project in an apartment with two bedrooms and a kitchen / dining room / living room and of course a bathroom. The whole apartment is still sparsely furnished, but at least we have our own internet connection. I also try the same again upload images. In this house we will live only two or three months before we move to an apartment on the premises. But whether this will really come so we shall see, at least we are here in Argentina.
is our work where I can say after three working days, very chillig. We have daily to work from 12.30 bis 18 clock. Our main task now is just playing with the kids. The kids always seemed to clock at 12.30 and then have only once about one hour off, ate up the children who get nothing at school. Then there is dessert for everyone and then "apoyo escolar", ie tutoring or homework help. But which is not very effective because children have on either nothing or do not do their homework. Occasionally you may indeed be something to help, but also because of the language, only very limited. Otherwise during this time, much painted and crafted. Then there is again something Arts starts up the daily program. This is either playing football with Martín (I think 2x a week) or cooking with Cecilia, our cook, or painting and drawing with a teacher from the city or something like that. In any case, this takes one to two hours and we have to help either or before and after playing with the children until it is around 17:15 dinner. After the meal, the children then go back home already.
There is a total so far not too stressful, even when the kids come from really poor, or at least very problematic circumstances. But ultimately it's not that much different from the youth group, I made a long time, stop only every day.
The care of children is very good, especially since we have a lot of staff. First there is Claudia, who lives in how we project and the most organized and taking care of the children. And there is Andrea, who comes every day and looks after the children. Then there's Simon the caretaker and the cleaning woman and laundress, Luli. Moreover, as I said Cecilia, which makes every day the food. And three days a week passes by Rubén, the real head of the Hogar. If you consider that at the moment more than 14 children are born, is by Sascha and myself have a very good rate. Especially since many are not all children and for coming today, for example, only nine children. In addition, there's another Andrea Nathalia and the psycho teacher (at ease social workers) of the city are working closely with the team and sometimes even stay the whole afternoon there. So we are involved in a well functioning team.
That was already a lot of text, but I could also write a lot more. But I think I prefer to raise me for next time.
