The school system

Here is a brief summary of the Argentine school system, which I wrote for my interim report. So you have just a few more background information: There are six years

Primaria (primary school) and six years Secundaria (secondary school). There are also various types of Secundarias, very similar to ours. The course content does not differ fundamentally that different from Germans, are just some really exotic subjects. Then for example, a subject "Visual perception" which is a mixture of biology and design. And of course there are also common in poorer countries quality difference between private and public schools.

As far as that sounds quite normal, but that is exceptional "are promoted to the next class that. It is here at the end of each school year exams in each subject. This one is a 7 (the scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is best). It is to pass a severe in comparison to Germany. To qualify for a transfer to a maximum of two subjects are not taking this as far as I know, is truly all subjects. But for every subject that exists, you get a second chance at the end of the holiday. And if there is all but two will be added. But the subjects have failed during the year be made up. This is blatant, that one can repeat last year all subjects as often. But as long as you have not passed all, you can enroll at any state university. There are so many that even after a couple of years have not completed their schooling in their pockets even though they have long done with school. This can only study at private universities, which makes the whole thing into a very unfair system.

The problem we have is quite specifically that the children be moved even though they did not bring the power to do so. So it all depends not rare fourth and 5 Graders can not read or write. The reason is that the teacher (s) have tired of the pupils or students simply be too old. A twelve-year-old adjusts to hold it in a second class. But accordingly they are there, then overwhelmed and very quickly lose the desire to learn. And as these "bad" students usually come from poor backgrounds anyway, it unfortunately happens often that they drop out of school completely obstruct the Sun way out of poverty.
