Application Part 2

The timeline for applying to universities is still not regulated in Germany. While it is almost always the 15th July (must be present, not postmarked) The deadline, however, the notification takes place on various dates. While a university is fast and the applicant is an early date on which he has to accept or decline, the other college or possibly even no notice sent.

To improve this state of chaos, is to be introduced (for our current grade 10), the following rules from Wintsemester 2011/12:

Applications will (as before, almost always) be made online directly to the universities, where one is interested in academic subjects. Applications are then individually be sent to the university. The universities report the candidates to a central location. If a candidate in this primary process within an offered place of study, its applications to other courses / colleges will be automatically removed by other candidates get access to university places offered.
